Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be in Namibia to open the business bank account?
Usually not. We prepare the bank pack and coordinate with the bank for you. Depending on the bank, either a director attends a branch once, or the company appoints a Namibian-resident authorised signatory by company resolution, which we arrange. We tell you which applies before you travel or sign anything.
How long does it take from instruction to a registered company with a bank account?
About 28 working days from the day we have your complete documents. Company registration, tax and Social Security run in parallel; the bank sets its own approval timing, so we can promise a complete application, not the bank's date.
What is a Public Officer and do I need one?
NamRA requires every company to have a Public Officer who lives in Namibia and answers for its tax affairs. If none of your directors live here, we provide one for N$1,200 a year. You can add it at checkout.
Can you do my bookkeeping, accounts and audit?
Yes. A chartered accountant (SA and Namibia) oversees bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for our clients. Your auditor quotes on the size and quality of your books, and because we prepare them, we can keep audit fees down and challenge an inflated quote. Ask us for the accounting price list.
I need a work or business investment permit. Can you help?
Yes. Work permit coordination for each person can be added at checkout (N$12,000 per person), and our immigration partner advises on the right route, including business and investment permits. The company documents your permit application needs come out of this package.
Can I talk it through before I buy?
Yes. Book a 30-minute video consultation for N$500. Bring your partner or adviser. If you then buy this package online with the same email within 60 days, the N$500 comes off the price.
Which documents must be notarised?
The passport copy of each foreign director and shareholder must be notarised by a Notary Public in your home country; an ordinary certified copy is not accepted. This is the most common cause of delay, so we check every document before lodging.
